Claim: The Pakistani intelligence agency has traced a call between a PTI and American leaders in which they discussed a foreign woman who was involved in the 9 May unrest and was kept hidden at the US embassy, brainwashed with PTI propaganda and then handed over to the authorities. Now, as a part of the plan, she will falsely report being sexually assaulted inside the jail. This will be used as political leverage against Pakistan’s security forces. The photograph of this woman has been shared as well.
Fact: This photograph is of a Czech model named Tereza Hluskova who was caught smuggling drugs by the Punjab police in March 2023.
On 28 May 2023, an image went viral on Twitter with the following caption:

Fact or Fiction?
Through reverse image searches, we found that this image was used by several websites reporting the news of Czech model Tereza Hluskova’s arrest by the Punjab police for drug trafficking in Pakistan in 2019 and the news of her acquittal in 2021.
This news was initially covered by AFP Prague in November 2021 and published on Alarabiya News. According to this article, the model Tereza Hluskova, aged 25, was sentenced to eight years and eight months in prison for trafficking nine kilograms of heroin to Lahore in January 2018. Similar articles were also published by The Mirror UK, The US Sun, and Daily Nation Pakistan in March 2023.
Dawn also published an article covering the model’s initial arrest in March 2019 which elaborated that the model was also imposed a fine of Rs 113,000.
In addition to this, the Punjab Police’s official Twitter handle replied to the claim, clarifying that this image is being used out of context. The tweet said:
یہ کیس پاکستانی میڈیا پر کئی دن چلتا رہا ہے ۔غیر ملکی ماڈل ٹریزا کو منشیات سمگلنگ کیس میں گرفتار کیا گیا تھا اور عدالت نے 8 سال قید و جرمانہ کی سزا سنائی تھی ۔ سوشل میڈیا پر پراپگنڈہ اور خوف و ہراس پھیلانے والوں کے خلاف سائبر کرائم ایکٹ کے تحت کاروائی کی جا رہی ہے اس لیے بنا تصدیق کوئی ایسی پوسٹ اپ لوڈ نہ کریں جو عوام میں خوف و پریشانی کا باعث بنے.

Conclusion: Viral image of a foreign woman alleged to be involved in the 9 May riots and protests is actually Czech model Tereza Hluskova, who was arrested for smuggling drugs in 2019.
